Abstract
Increasing the usage of library resources is an ongoing challenge for academic libraries of all sizes. As with most academic libraries, Kennesaw State University's (KSU) library system offers faculty members and students a variety of resources to support their research and academic studies. But despite the availability of a discovery tool and our librarians' efforts to develop instructional materials to knit together the discovery and delivery of information resources into a seamless search experience, faculty members and students still struggle to access our materials effectively. We analyzed our digital collection data and found only a 24% usage level from November 2021 to November 2022. Given this finding, we asked ourselves how we could maximize the exposure of our resources and increase usage. We wondered where students start their research.
